A large jug is filled with 45L of apple juice. Nine L are removed and the jug is refilled with water. Then Nine L of the mixture are removed and the jug is refilled with water again. The ratio of water to apple juice in the final mixture is??

the jug holds 45L

9L of apple juice are removed and replaced with water ___ now 36L of apple juice in jug

9L of mix are removed ___ this is 9/45 or 1/5 or 20% ___ so 80% stays in the jug ___ .80 X 36L is 28.8L

28.8L of apple juice in a 45L jug means (45-28.8) or 16.2L of water
___ so the ratio of water to apple juice is 16.2/28.8 or 81/144 or 9/16
