Question 1145192: The problem asks to find any intercepts and graph:
0.1x-0.2y=0.4
The answer is y-int (0,-2) and x-int (4,0). How do you get that x-int????
My work:
.1x-.2y=.4
Subtract .1x from both sides -.2y= -.1x+.4
Divide -.2 from both sides y=.1/.2x-.4/.2
Y=1/2x-2
X-int (-1,2) and y-int (0, -2)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The problem asks to find any intercepts and graph:
0.1x-0.2y=0.4
The answer is y-int (0,-2) and x-int (4,0). How do you get that x-int????
==========
x - 2y = 4
At the y-int, x = 0
-----
At the x-int, y = 0
=====================
In the x-y plane, the x value is the distance from the y-axis, and the y value is the distance from the x-axis.
