Question 1145086: this is my first year doing geometry. im confused on what the midway point of (-5,0) (0,4). how exactly would I find the midway point for those coordinates? Answer by ikleyn(52800) (Show Source):
You are given two points in the coordinate plane, A = (-5,0) and B = (0,4).
The midpoint C has x-coordinate as the average of x-coordinates -5 and 0 of the points A and B = = -2.5
and has y-coordinate as the average of y-coordinates 0 and 4 of the points A and B = = 2.
Thus midpoint C is C = (-2.5,2).
