Could -2 be used as a base to rewrite 32? 64? Why or why not?
---------
No.
Odd exponents of -2 result in negative numbers.
(-2)^5 = -32
There is no real number exponent -2 that results in +32.

In my opinion, this post is typical provocation.
It is not a Math problem, because the question has no an exact/precise Math meaning.
It does not ask if 32 can be presented as (-2)^x.
It asks (word-in-word) "Could -2 be
used to rewrite
. . . ".
In this form, the answer is "YES" : 32 = -(-2)^5.
Therefore, the post is the kind of provocation.
