Slope-Intercept Form for a line, y=mx+b

m=%284-%28-2%29%29%2F%28-2-4%29, vertical change divided by horizontal change
m=6%2F%28-6%29
m=-1

Pick either of the given points of the line; if using (4, -2), then
y=mx%2Bb
y-mx=b
b=y-mx
-
b=-2-%28-1%29%284%29
b=-2%2B4
b=2

Equation for the line: highlight%28y=-x%2B2%29

The equation you're looking for is NOT highlight%28y=-x-6%29. 

So, IGNORE this equation: Equation for the line:  cross%28highlight%28y=-x-6%29%29 from the other person.
