SOLUTION: The one-to-one functions g and h are defined as follows...
g={(-4,-3), (1,6), (2,5)(5,1)}
h(x)= 3x-13
Find the following.
g^-1(5)= ?
h^-1(x)= ?

Thank you for any help :) Answer by greenestamps(13200) (Show Source):
The value of x for which the y value is 5. Inspection shows it to be 2.
h^-1(x)
The value of x for which the y value is -1.
(h^-1 o h)(7)
By the definition of inverse functions, this is equal to 7. (Operating on an input value with a function and then operating on the result with the inverse function gets you back where you started.)
