If x years is the age of the younger, then 2x years is the age of the older.


x + 2x = 75


3x = 75


x = 75/3 = 25  is the age of the younger;  25*2 = 50  is the age of the older.


ANSWER.  Abdul is 25 years old;  Ahmed is 50 years old.
