Question 1139404: Hi can you please show me how to solve this? I have watched videos and looked it up online and still get the answer wrong. Thank you.
Suppose there is a group of seven people from which we will make a committee.
In how many ways can we pick a five-person committee?
Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! This is a combinations problem, where you are choosing 7....5 at a time.
Grab a scientific calculator and locate the permutations and combinations button.
It might be labeled nPr and nCr.
You want to use nCr for combinations.
You are choosing 7....5 at a time.
So, type in 7c5
You should get 21.
