Question 1139205: You play two unrelated games, one after the other. There is a 30% chance of winning the first game, and there is a 40% chance of winning the second game. Use the product formula for independent events to find the probability that you win both games.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
This formula is P = 0.3*0.4,

and the condition states that the games are unrelated (= independent),

so you can apply this "the product" formula, as I did.

The answer is 0.3*0.4 = 0.12.

-------------

This problem is simply to check, if you know the definition of independent events.

The rule is: if the events are independent, the probability that they occur both is the product of their individual probabilities.
