You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
Let x be the rate of the first mechanics, in dollars per hour.

Then the rate of the second mechanics is (210-x) dollars per hour.

The total charge for the entire work is $2000

    5x + 15*(210-x) = 2000.

From the equation, express x and calculate the answer

    x = %282000+-+15%2A210%29%2F%285+-+15%29 = 115.

ANSWER. First mechanics charges $115 per hour; second charges 210 - 115 = 95 dollars per hour.

CHECK.  5*115 + 15*95 = 2000 dollars.    ! Correct !
