x+%2Fy=+2%2F3
x+=+2y%2F3....eq.1

if the total number of votes cast was 60, we have
x%2By=60
x=60-y....eq.2
from eq.1 and eq.2 we have
+2y%2F3=60-y
+2y=180-3y
+2y%2B3y=180
+5y=180
+y=36
go to x=60-y....eq.2, substitute y
x=60-36
x=24=> votes Ben did get
