You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2 X 10^-2)+(7 X 10^-21). How do I solve it so that the answer stays in scientific notation?
----------------
The 2nd number is so much smaller than the 1st that it's not significant.
Confirm that they're to be added, and not multiplied.
=====================
PS Use * (Shift 8) for multiply, not X
(2*10^-2) + (7*10^-21)
Even better:
2e-2 + 7e-21
============================
If they are multiplied:
2e-2 * 7e-21 = 14e-23
= 1.4e-22 or 1.4*10^-22
