You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
The sum of two distances is 404 miles:

    r*4 + (r+1)*4 = 404,

where " r " is the rate of slower car.

    r + (r+1) = 101

    2r + 1 = 101

    2r = 101 - 1 = 100    ====>  r = 50.

Answer. 50 mph and 51 mph.
