You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The perimeter of a rectangle is:P=2%28L%2BW%29
given: P=64cm
=>2%28L%2BW%29=64cm....eq.1
the length is 4cm less than twice the width:
L=2W-4cm...eq.2...substitute in eq.1

2%282W-4cm%2BW%29=64cm....eq.1

4W-8cm%2B2W=64cm
6W=64cm%2B8cm
6W=72cm
W=72cm%2F6
W=12cm

go to eq.2

L=2W-4cm...eq.2...plug in W
L=2%2A12cm-4cm
L=24cm-4cm
L=20cm
