You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Technically, none of these questions can be answered definitively. In ANY given finite sequence, ANY next number makes a valid sequence.

However, all of these examples have patterns which makes it possible to find a single number which is VERY LIKELY the next number in the sequence.

You don't learn anything by having us solve the sequences for you. So, instead, let me show you the kinds of patterns that are common in problems like this.

(1) constant difference between terms

example 1: 3, 7, 11, 15, ... differences between successive terms are 4, 4, 4,...
example 2: 5, 0, -5, -10, ... differences between successive terms are -5, -5, -5,...

(2) constant ratio between terms

example 3: 2, 6, 18, 54, ... ratios between successive terms are 3, 3, 3, ...
example 4: 4, 2, 1, 1/2, ... ratios between successive terms are 1/2, 1/2,1/2, ...

(3) differences between successive terms form a simple pattern

example 5: 1, 3, 6, 10, ... differences between successive terms are 2, 3, 4, ...
example 6: 20, 11, 5, 2, ... differences between successive terms are -9, -6, -3, ...

All of the sequences in your problem are one of the types shown in these examples.
