Question 113537: I'm a tutor, but I have a question which I can't answer myself, other tutors please help.
How do you solve x%5Ex+=+a ?
For example
x%5Ex+=+256 which is x+log+256+=+x We all know that 4 satisfies the equation, but how do you actually solve this kind of problems? Is there only one possible solution?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One way to solve it:
Graph y=x^x
Graph y=a
Let the graphing calculator find the intersection
of the line and the curve.
