    tan%28alpha%29 = H%2FL,


where  H  is the flagpole height  and  L  is the cast length.


In your case  H= 74 ft,  L = 59 ft,  so


    tan%28alpha%29 = 74%2F59 = 1.254.


It implies  alpha = arctan(1.254).
