You can put this solution on YOUR website! What effect does replacing x with x + 6 have on the graph for the function f(x)?
f(x) = |x + 3| - 2
Is my answer correct?

Yes, you're correct! You DON'T HAVE to graph it as one person suggests. And, the person graphed it and it's WRONG! What sense did that make?
When x is replaced with x + 6, the graph is MOVED another 6 units to the LEFT, or f(x) = |x + 3| - 2 becomes: g(x) = |x + 6 + 3| - 2.
