a. Sometimes true???? The fourth root of a positive can be a positive but can also be a negative. The fourth root of a negative is an imaginary.
b. Never true...every positive number has two SQUARE roots, one of which is the opposite of the other. Every positive number has one cube root...cube root of 8 is 2.
