Is 2x-5y=32, 2x+3y=0 solvable graphically?
:
Yes, find point of intersection using elimination
2x - 5y = 32
2x + 3y = 0
------------------ Subtraction eliminates x, find y
0 - 8y = 32
y = 32/-8
y = -4
:
find x using the 1st equation
2x - 5(-4) = 32
2x + 20 = 32
2x = 32 - 20
2x = 12
x = 12/2
x = 6
:]
Check solutions in 2nd equation
2(6) + 3(-4) = 0
12 - 12 = 0
:
The lines of the two equations will intersect a x=6, y=-4

Yes if you want

system%28y=%282%2F5%29x-32%2F5%2Cy=-2x%2F3%29

graph%28400%2C400%2C-3%2C7%2C-5%2C5%2C2x%2F5-32%2F5%2C-2x%2F3%29
Intersection appears to be (6, -4).

Just to check algebraically,
2x=5y%2B32=-3y
8y=-32
y=-6
and you can solve either equation for x using this y value.
