The area of a parallelogram is the product of the base and height.

Using AB and CD as the bases, AN is the height. Since AB = 6.3 and AN = 2.4, the area of the parallelogram is (6.3)(2.4) = 15.12.

Using AD and BC as the bases, AM is the height. Since the area is 15.12 and AD = 4.9, AM is 15.12/4.9 = 3.0857 to four decimal places.
