Question 1132776: Hi! I’m looking over videos and my math notes and the problem and the videos and notes are not making sense to me at all. The question is: given the following information, create a stem and leaf plot for the following tests scores.
62 73 83 90 85 76 86 76 60 61 58 58 73 73 83 84 85 86 90 91 92 55 56 83
Thank you I appreciate any help. I’m just very confused. Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! here's some information on stem and leaf plots.
https://www.mathsisfun.com/data/stem-leaf-plots.html
here's a stem and leaf plot generator i found online.
https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/statistics/stemleaf.php
here's the results of my using this stem and leaf plot generator on your data.
your stem in this case is the tens digit.
your leaves are the units digit.
for each data element, you would combine the leaves into the same stem.
for example:
62 60 61 are all the data elements that have the tens digit as 6.
the stem is 6.
the leaves are 0,1,2
therefore, the stem and leaf plot shows 6 as the stem and 0 1 2 as the leaves.
for all data elements that have a 7 in the tens digit, you get:
73 76 76 73 73
the stem is 7 and the leaves are 3,3,3,6,6.
that's why the stem and leaf plot shows 7 3 3 3 6 6.
each data element is shown, even if it's redundant, i.e. there are 3 data elements of 73 in the data and the stem is shown once and the leaves of 3 are shown 3 times.
likewise, there are 2 data elements of 76 in the data set and the stem is the same 7 while the additional leaves of 6 are shown 2 times.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 62 73 83 90 85 76 86 76 60 61 58 58 73 73 83 84 85 86 90 91 92 55 56 83
:
it is useful to order the list
:
55 56 58 58 60 61 62 73 73 73 76 76 83 83 83 84 85 85 86 86 90 90 91 92
:
I'll use the tens digits as the stem values and the ones digits as the leaves.
:
Stem|Leaf
----------
5 | 4
----------
6 | 3
----------
7 | 5
----------
8 | 8
----------
9 | 4
---------
:
Note the Leaf's are the number of data points, for example there are 4 values in the 50's
