You can put this solution on YOUR website!

A basketball has a circumference of C=25.12cm.
a circumference is C=2r%2Api
2r%2Api=25.12cm
r=25.12cm%2F2pi
r=3.998cm

the area of the basketball will be: A=r%5E2%2Api
A=%283.998cm%29%5E2%2Api
A=15.984cm%5E2%2Api
A=50.22cm%5E2

@MATHLOVER is WRONG.
She just keeps posting WRONG answers, time after time. Why doesn't she try to learn to do certain types of mathematics?
The area or rather, SURFACE area of a SPHERE (that's what a basketball is called) is: 4pi+%2A+r%5E2, which is quite different from the area of a CIRCLE pi+%2A+r%5E2.
