My teacher gave us a homework sheet with this question: The sum of two consecutive integers is less than 55. Find the pair of integers with the greatest sum. I didn’t understand what it meant. Does it mean a +b is less than 55
-----------
If you call the integers a & b, then it's a+b < 55.
But, if you call them a and a+1, then
a + a+1 < 55
Does that help?
