Question 1131806: A piece of pottery is removed from a kiln and allowed to cool in a controlled environment. The temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit) of the pottery after it is removed from the kiln for various times (in minutes) is shown in the following table.
Time (min) Temperature (°F)
15 2000
20 1950
30 1850
60 1550
(c) Assuming the temperature continues to decrease at the same rate, what will be the temperature of the pottery in 3 hours?______°F

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It is cooling at a rate of 50 degrees in 5 minutes or 10 degrees a minute.
In 3 hours, it will cool for 120 minutes at 10 degrees a minute after the 60 minute mark. That will be 1200 degrees, so the final temperature at 3 hours will be 1550-1200=350 degrees.
