You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the area of the base a right circular cone is 38.50 sq. cm.
find r, the radius
pi%2Ar%5E2+=+38.5
r = sqrt%2838.5%2Fpi%29
r = 3.5 cm
if its height is three times the radius of the base,
h = 3(3.5)
h = 10.5 cm is the height
find it's volume
V = 1%2F3pi%2A3.5%5E2%2A10.5
V = 134.7 cu/cm is the volume
:
The area of a cone:
Find the slant height of the cone
s = sqrt%283.5%5E2%2B10.5%5E2%29
s = 11.07 cm is the slant height
Find the lateral area A = pi%2Ar%2As
A = pi%2A3.5%2A11.07
A = 121.7 sq/cm is the lateral surface area
:
If you want the total surface area, add 38.5 to the later surface area
