___ liters of 25% H
____ liters of 55% H Found 3 solutions by josgarithmetic, Boreal, ikleyn:Answer by josgarithmetic(39620) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! h, amount of the 55% acid to use
465-h, amount of the 25% acid to use
- --------liters of the 55% HCl
----------------MIS-HANDLED METHOD--------------------
From 25% up to 55%
Want 45% result
25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55--------
45 % is of the way from 25% to 55%.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! One way is to note that 45% is 2/3 of the way between 25% and 55%, so twice as much of the 55% will be used.
Or,
x at 25%
465-x at 55%
.25x+.55(465-x)=465*.45=209.25
.25x+255.75-.55x=209.25
-.30x=-46.50
x=155 liters
465-x=310 liters, twice as much.
