The area of a square is equal to the side length squared: +A+=+s%5E2+
For a square, there is length and width (which are equal) and there is no height.

You know A and want s. So you solve +A+=+s%5E2+ for s by taking the square root of both sides:
+sqrt%28A%29+=+s+ or by swapping left and right hand sides: +s+=+sqrt%28A%29+

+s+=+sqrt%281500%29+ft+ (approx 38.73 ft)
