Question 1128929: Hi, I need your help with a couple of story problems. Here it is I have been trying to figure it out but I need some help.

Mr. and Mrs. Vance will spend no more than $300 for two bicycles and a bicycle carrier for their car. They plan to spend the same amount for each bicycle. If they buy a rack for $65 how much will they spend on each bicycle? I need to solve an inequality and express the answer using inequality notation. I am not a lazy student i just need some help. Thank you so much

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

let amount for each bicycle be x
If a bicycle carrier for their car is $65, and they will spend no more than $300, we have
2x%2B65%3C=300
2x%3C=300-65
2x%3C=235
x%3C=235%2F2
x%3C=117.5->on each bicycle they will spend no more than $117.5
