You can put this solution on YOUR website! Kathi and Robert Hawn had a pottery stand at the annual Skippack Craft Fair. They sold some of their pottery at the original price of $ 14.50 each, but later decreased the price of each by $4.00. If they sold all 91 pieces and took in $ 1 comma 039.50, find how many they sold at the original price and how many they sold at the reduced price. -------
 Equations::
 Quantity:: original + reduced = 91 pieces
 Value::::: 14.5*o + 4*r = 1,039.50
 -------------------------------------------
 Modify to solve for "o"
 4*o + 4*r = 4*91
 14.5*o + 4*r = 1039.5
 ---------------------------------
 Subtract and solve for "o"::
 10.5*o = 675.5
 o = 64 1/3 (# of pieces sold at the original price)
 This cannot be the correct answer because it is not a whole number.
 Please check the accuracy of your posted numbers.
 Cheers,
 Stan H.
