In the triangle ABC, A is the right angle; the side "a", opposite to the angle A, is the hypotenuse and side "b" is the leg.

Then the other leg length is

    sqrt%28%28sqrt%282%29%29%5E2+-+1%5E2%29 = sqrt%282-1%29 = sqrt%281%29 = 1,

according to the Pythagorean theorem.

It means that you have the right angled triangle with congruent legs; thus the triangle is isosceles.

Hence, the angles at the base (at the hypotenuse) are congruent and each is equal to %28180%5Eo-90%5Eo%29%2F2 = 45°.

Answer. The measure of the angle B is 45°.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

In triangle ABC:
+a=+sqrt%282%29,
b+=1
measure angle A+=90°
Find the measure of angle B.
A+=90 triangle ABC is right angle triangle;
so, since
+a=+sqrt%282%29,
b+=1
=>c=1
since b+=1 and c=1, we have isosceles right triangle and angles B and C are same and each measures 45°

check:angle B
sin%28A%29%2Fa=sin%28B%29%2Fb
sin%2890%29%2Fsqrt%282%29=sin%28B%29%2F1
1%2Fsqrt%282%29=sin%28B%29
B=sin%5E-1%281%2Fsqrt%282%29%29
B=45°
