Question 112734: I asked previously about factoring/simplifying of polynomials. I did not just want the answer, rather I needed a step by step procedure. I am doing rational expressions and equations, and I need to simplify and cancel. HELP!(HA) Here is one example I hope you can understand it.
(t+2)cubed(tsquared+2t+1)(t+1)/numerator
(t+1)cubed(tsquared+4t+4)(t+2)denominator
or
4Xsquared-12X+9 /numerator
10Xsquared-11X-6 /denominator All explanations welcomed and appreciated. Don Hora Answer by bharathi777(1) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The answer is 1
(t+2)cubed (t+1) squared (t+1)
______________________________
(t+1) cubed (t+2) squared (t+2)
they all get cancelled out and hence the answer is 1.
t squared+2t+1 = (t+1)(t+)
t squared + 4t +4 =(t+2) (t+2)
