Question 1126957: A drone flies with a velocity of 45mph when there is no wind. In flying with the wind it travels a certain distance in 4 hours. However, in flying against the wind it can travel on 60% of that distance. What is the wind’s velocity?
So far, I have:
d=rt
d=distance
r=4 hours
t=wind speed
(d/100)*60 = 60% of distance
d=4(45+t) --> with wind
3d/5=4(45-t) --> against wind

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
w, speed of wind
Assuming same amount of time against the wind

d=4%2845%2Bw%29
-
%2845-w%29%2A4=0.6%2A4%2845%2Bw%29
45-w=%283%2F5%29%2845%2Bw%29
225-5w=3%2845%2Bw%29
8w=225-135
8w=90
