You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Jim can fill the pool in 30 minutes

So in one minute he can fill 1%2F30 of the tank

Sue can fill the same pool in 45 minutes.

So in one minute she can fill 1%2F45 of the tank

Tony can fill the pool in 90 minutes.

So in one minute he can fill 1%2F90 of the tank

so the time taken by all of them to fill the same pool is given by:

%281%2F30%29+%2B+%281%2F45%29+%2B+%281%2F90%29

%283+%2B+2+%2B+1%29%2F90 taking LCM we get this:

%286%2F90%29

==> %281%2F15%29

so taking reciprocal we get the time taken by all the three to fill the tank

==> they take 15 minutes in total to fill the tank.

Hence the solution.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Jim's rate of filling the pool is
(1 pool / 30 min)
Sue's rate is
(1 pool / 45 min)
Tony's rate is
(1 pool / 90 min)
Working together, I add the rates to get the combined rate
(1 pool / 30 min)+(1 pool / 45 min)+(1 pool / 90 min) = (1 pool / x min)
%281+%2F+30%29+%2B+%281+%2F+45%29+%2B+%281+%2F+90%29+=+1+%2F+x
%283+%2F+90%29+%2B+%282+%2F+90%29+%2B+%281+%2F+90%29+=+1+%2F+x
6+%2F+90+=+1+%2F+x
x+=+90+%2F+6
x+=+15min answer
Working together, all three fill the pool in 15 minutes
