You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first you must take the like terms
and combine them.
but you must keep them on opposite sides
of the equal sign.

step 1:
subtract 5x from both sides.
9x-5x+7=-3
step 2:
subtract 7 from both sides.
9x-5x=-7-3
step 3:
now simplify both sides.
4x=-10
step 4:
divide 4 by both sides.
x=10/4
step 5:
simplify the fraction.
x=5/2
good luck!

9x-5x=-3-7 Subtract 5x from both sides

4x=-3-7 Combine like terms on the left side

4x=-10 Combine like terms on the right side

x=%28-10%29%2F%284%29 Divide both sides by 4 to isolate x

x=-5%2F2 Reduce
