let the length be L and width W
if the length of a rectangle is 4m longer than it’s width, we have
L=W%2B4....eq.1

if the perimeter of the rectangle is 32m, we have
2%28L%2BW%29=32
L%2BW=32%2F2
L%2BW=16
L=16-W........eq.2
from eq.1 and eq.2 we have
W%2B4=16-W...solve for W
W%2BW=16-4
2W=12
W=6cm
go to L=16-W........eq.2, plug in W
L=16-6
L=10cm

then, the area is
A=L%2AW=10%2A6=60cm%5E2
