Question 1125628: A scientist is working with two different concentrations of HCI. One bottle is 80% HCI and the other is 50% HCI. For their experiment they need 1 liter of 70% HCI. how many liters of the 80% solution do they need? How many liters of the 50% solution? Answer by josgarithmetic(39626) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Not the best example. Concentrations of HCl above 40% not so practical; they don't keep well and will have some of the concentration lost quickly.
If you want the arithmetic anyway, then
x volume of 80%
1-x volume of 50%
liters of the 80% material
liters of the 50% material
