You can put this solution on YOUR website!
w, total weight of packet

w=%284%2F5%29w%2B1%2F2
-
10w=8w%2B5
2w=5
w=2%261%2F2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the total weight of a packet be m
if the total weight of a packet is %281%2F2%29kg more than %284%2F5%29 of its weight, we have:
m=%284%2F5%29m%2B%281%2F2%29kg
m=2%284%2F%282%2A5%29%29m%2B5%281%2F%285%2A2%29%29kg
m=%288%2F10%29m%2B%285%2F10%29kg.....both sides multiply by 10
10m=8m%2B5kg
10m-8m=5kg
2m=5kg
m=5kg%2F2
m=2.5kg->the total weight of a packet

check:
%284%2F5%29 of it will be:
%284%2F5%292.5kg=10kg%2F5=2kg -> which is %281%2F2%29kg less than m=2.5kg
