Question 1124309: The table shows how long it takes an airplane (in hours) to travel a given distance (in miles).
a. Use the data to write a formula that estimates the relationship between t and d.
500t=d
b. Use the formula from part a to estimate the time it takes the airplane to fly 13000 miles.
c. Solve your formula for d.
d. Us your rule from paart c to estimate the distance the airplance can fly in 8 hours.
flying terms
flight time in hours(t) distance in miles (d)
a 2 1018
b 3 1485
c 4 2103
d 5 2516
e 6 2886

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Your part a is valid based on a 500 mph estimate from the table which is a reasonably good estimate for that set of data.

For part b, put 13000 in for d and do the arithmetic.

For part c, your formula is already solved for d

For part d, put 8 in for t and do the arithmetic
