- I guessed that this was a proportion. I subtracted the years to get 5, then I crossed multiplied to get an answer of 18. although I am not sure if that is correct.

180-50=130 IS THE INCREASE IN CAR SALES OVER A 5 YEARS PERIOD.
130/5=26 IS THE AVERAGE INCREASE IN SALES EACH YEAR BETWEEN 2002 & 2007.
