Question 112354: Solve the equation 3sin^2x = cos^2x, for 0 degrees is less then or equal to x which is less than or equal to 180 degrees
I really appreciate this!!!
I changed it to 3sin^2x-cos^2x=0

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Start with the given equation

Subtract from both sides

Replace with

Distribute the negative

Combine like terms

Add 1 to both sides

Divide both sides by 4

Take the square root of both sides

Simplify

Take the arcsine of both sides

Take the arcsine of both sides

Since , the only solution is

or x=30 degrees
