Give variables to what is or are unknown, and literally write the description as equations. Then solve.

f, Father now
c, Son, the child now

Understand that.

Solve the system.

I have two messages and one question to you.

Message 1. The system of equations presented by @josgarithmetic in his post, is INCORRECT and INADEQUATE to the condition.
Message 22. The problem, as it is formulated, worded and presented in your post, has no solution in integer numbers.
    So, this problem is DEFECTIVE.
And, finally, my question : Why do you post defective problems to this forum ?
