Question 1122526: K=1/2mv^2 solve for v
Answer by greenestamps(13203) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Multiply by 2 and divide by m to get the "v^2" by itself; then take the square root.
Taking the square root will give you two answers, one positive and one negative. Depending on the application, one or the other (usually the negative one) will not be appropriate. If there is no context for the formula, then the correct answer will consist of both the positive and negative square root.
