36 of 45, i.e. 36%2F45 = 4%2F5 of the pool favor chocolate chips.


Hence, taking it as the base, we can expect that  4%2F5  of 1000, i.e. 800 favor chocolate chips.


The rest 200 of 1000 prefer sugar cookies.
