Question 1121586: George earns $8 per hour for his babysitting job. He also receives a $10 bonus for any day he works past 6 p.m. Last month, George babysat:
Five days for 3 hours each,
Two days for 5 hours each,
On 2 of those days, he worked past 6 p.m.
What expressions represent the total amount of money George received for babysitting last month? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
He worked 3 hours per day for 5 days making 15 hours, then he worked 5 hours per day for 2 days making another 10 hours for a total of 25 hours. 25 hours times 8/hour is 200, plus he got 2 $10 bonuses. Altogether, $220. So any expression that is equivalent to $220.
