You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
(1) Move the terms so that the left side contains all the terms involving K, and only those terms.
(2) Factor out the "K" from the left side.
(3) Divide by the "other" factor to leave "K" by itself.
Example:
Solve for x: Ax+B = C-Dx
(1) Ax+Dx = C-B
(2) x(A+D) = C-B
(3) x = (C-B)/(A+D)
It's exactly the same thing you do when solving a linear equation for a numerical answer, except that instead of numbers you have other variables.
Example:
Solve for x: 3x-5 = 7+x
(1) 3x-x = 7+5 --> 2x = 12
(2) 2(x) = 12
(3) x = 12/2 = 6
