Question 1120189: a box contains a hundred rupee note,a ten rupee note, a five rupee note and four different coins. how many different amounts can be drawn from it. Answer by ikleyn(52799) (Show Source):
We have notes of three different nominations and coins of four different nominations.
In all, there are notes and coins of 3 + 4 = 7 different nominations.
Each of them may go with the coefficient 1 or 0.
Hence, in all, we have = 128 different opportunities (including one empty = zero opportunity).
----------- Comment from student: a big thanks to you mam but i am sorry to say that its ans. is 127.
-----------
My response. It is because I admitted the empty case, which corresponds to the zero value.
If to exclude it, you will get exactly 127 opportunities.
