Question 1120063: I do not know if complex numbers is the right section for this problem. If not please let me know.
(x-5/2x-5)
over
(x-5/2x-5) - (x+2/x-5)
I hope i made this simple to read. The / button are fractions. I use "OVER" because its a fraction on top of two other fractions with a minus between the two fractions on the bottom.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

You really haven't asked a mathematics question here because I have no idea what it is you want to do with this rational expression. But let me answer the questions you asked or implied:

No, Complex Numbers is not the appropriate section for this problem. Complex numbers are of the form where is defined as .

You have presented a Rational expression. Whether it is supposed to be a rational function or just an expression is a mystery because you didn't explain what is expected by the assignment that contains this expression.

Despite your lengthy explanation of your post, what you presented is still ambiguous because of your failure to use sufficient parentheses to indicate what parts of the expression belong in which numerator or denominator.

What I believe you meant is:

To the extent that my supposition is correct, you would have been more clear had you written:

[(x - 5)/(2x - 5)] / [((x - 5)/(2x - 5)) - ((x + 2) / (x - 5))]

You can also use curly braces to differentiate levels of grouping if it is clearer. Doesn't matter so long as the grouping symbols are properly paired.

If you still want help with your original problem, whatever that was, repost. But this time explain what you are required to do, tell us what it is about the problem that is giving you difficulty, and show what you have tried so far.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
