2^(2x) - 5(2^x) - 24 = 0
Sub y for 2^x
y^2 - 5y - 24 = 0
(y-8)*(y+3) = 0
y = 8
2^x = 8
x = 3

y = -3
2^x = -3 --- Not allowed.
