but its distance to the center of dilation is as many times larger as the scale factor.
In this case, the point is P%28-3%2C0%29 ,
3 units to the left of the origin, %22O+%28+0+%2C+0+%29%22 .
The image of P is %22P+%27+%28+-15+%2C+0+%29%22 .



When the center of dilation is the origin,
all you have to do to find the coordinates of the image
is multiply the coordinates of the point times the sale factor.
